I am happy to endorse Jack Sherban for the new Town Council that will be elected on Nov. 5. Two years ago, when Jack campaigned (successfully) for a seat on the Board of Selectman, he made it clear that he was in favor of the changes to the Town Charter that would create a town manager/town council form of government. He knocked on doors all over town and engaged in conversations with townspeople who also wanted to see the Town of Clinton adopt a new form of government, focus on economic development, and expand the tax base in order to assure future prosperity for Clinton. The current Board of Selectman has worked tirelessly for the last two years to advance these goals.
Jack Sherban’s dedication and hard work has been a large part of the success of our current town government. His years of experience on the Board of Selectman and as chairperson of the Board of Finance prepared him well. He has proven himself to be a straight-forward, plain-speaking public servant.
I hope that the voters in Clinton will reward Jack Sherban with the opportunity to continue his service to Clinton by electing him to the Town Council.
