You see, my late mother-in-law, Shirley Kelsey Belcher, had been the registrar of voters. Shirley Belcher’s friend Margery Scully had been the first selectman, twice. Taking that advice from my wife was pure wisdom. Working with other dedicated, like-minded citizens, I have come to care deeply about Clinton and its future. Thanks to the Clinton Democratic Town Committee, I was appointed to the Clinton Tree Committee a few months ago, and I love it! The Tree Committee is active in planning annual Arbor Day celebrations and we are working on fundraising to plant additional trees in Clinton.
